Sara J. McDowell McCormick, 86, Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010. Mrs. McCormick was born November 27, 1923 in Sidell, Illinois to the late Fred & Grace Fiensey McDowell. She worked as a customer service representative at Morris Plan in Indianapolis and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Mrs. McCormick was preceded in death by her husband, James L. McCormick. Survivors include her children, James McCormick, Jr., Nancy Anderson, Steve McCormick, Larry McCormick, Kathleen Myrick; brother, John McDowell; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren. Prayers will be Wednesday, March 10 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until time of prayers at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
