Carlos "Carl" Stevens, 75, Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010 in Community Hospital East. He was born April 17, 1934 in Paragon, Indiana. Mr. Stevens was a supervisor for the C.H. Ellis Company on the Eastside of Indianapolis for 33 years. He was a U.S. Airforce veteran and served in the Korean war. He was an avid I.U. basketball fan as well as an avid fan of the Indianapolis 500. He enjoyed many races at the IRP. Survivors include his wife, Vicky M. Roberts Stevens; children, Rick, Terry & John Saylor, Tim & Randy Stevens, Laurie Saylor-Barth, Kay Stevens Hughey & Kathy Stevens; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. April 1st in the Oakley-Hammond Funeral Home, Moore & Kirk Irvington Chapel with Rev. Danny Thomas officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 31st from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
