Delma G. Hand, 86, passed away Sunday April 18, 2010. She was born on December 26, 1923 to the late Harold and Martha Jordan Woodlee. Delma worked at Stonybook Middle School before her retirement in 1981. She enjoyed participating in many church activities which included teaching Bible Class and World Bible School correspondence course. She was the widow of Doyle Hand. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Hand and Donna (Kevin) Short; grandchildren, Stephanie, Brian, Kathy and Zachary; and her sister, Ora (George) Kesler. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Southeastern Church of Christ, 6500 Southeastern Avenue, of which she was a member, with visitation at the church from 4:00 PM Thursday until the time of the service. Entombment will be on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Southeastern Church of Christ Food Pantry, 6500 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, 46203. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Oakley-Hammond Funeral Home, Moore & Kirk Irvington Chapel.
