Robert D. "Bob" Fawver, 73, of Scottsburg, Indiana died Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Scott Memorial Hospital. He was born January 23, 1937 in Harrison County, Indiana, the son of the late Daniel Martin and Ella (Peper) Fawver. Bob was married June 16, 1957 to Margie (Carpenter) Fawver, who survives. They were married for 53 years. He was a retired supervisor for the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Scottsburg, Indiana for 13 years retiring in April of 2004. He also formerly worked for many years at Production Credit Association as a Loan Officer and then Vice-President, was a member of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church where he was a member for nearly 50 years and sang in the choir and the Ox Valley Quartet for a number of years. He served in the U.S. Army and was also in in the Military ROTC program. Bob was a past member of the Scottsburg Lions Club and served on various community boards and committees. He was also an avid golfer, loved to fish, play euchre, travel and spend time at his farm. Survivors in addition to his wife include a daughter: Kamala (Tim) Harshbarger of Winston Salem, North Carolina; a son: Neal L. (Marietta) Fawver of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother: Keith I. Fawver of Orange, California; a sister: Thelma Jean Mauck of Jasper, Indiana and two grandchildren: Natalie Harshbarger and Kent Durbin Fawver. Bob was preceded in death by a son: Kent Allen Fawver; two brothers: Harlan and Charles Fawver and a sister: Alma King. Interment at Scottsburg Cemetery.
