Samuel Francis Campbell, 67, of Underwood, Indiana died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at his residence. He was born September 1, 1942 in Vienna, Indiana, the son of the late Claude S. and Iva F. (Collings) Campbell. Sam was married July 7, 1962 to Mary Alice (Zollman) Campbell, who survives. He was a retired bridge carpenter for the old Winslow Construction Company in Salem, Indiana for 19 years and also worked for Milestone Construction in Indianapolis, Indiana for 11 years. He was owner and operator of the Campbell Kennell in Underwood, Indiana and a member of the Underwood Baptist Church. Survivors include two brothers: Floyd Campbell of Underwood, Indiana & Stephen Campbell of Lexington, Indiana; three sisters: Hazel Bowen of Austin, Indiana, Ruth Brown of Tell City, Indiana & Carol Campbell of Indianapolis, Indiana; a grandson: Brandon Campbell of Clear Springs, Indiana and several nieces & nephews. Sam was preceded in death by a son: Timothy Samuel Campbell, who died Nov. 7, 2003; three brothers: William, John Paul & Willard Campbell and two sisters: Bertha Campbell and Doris Smith. Interment at Sodom Cemetery in Underwood, Indiana. Arrangements by: Collins Funeral Home.
