Imogene Loretta Lamb, 77, of Jeffersonville, Indiana died Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born June 25, 1932 in Anderson, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charles Louis and Dessie Gladys (Smith) Beard. Imogene was married Dec. 18, 1948 to James W. Lamb, who died Aug. 7, 1981. She was a retired seamstress and press operator for the old Meyer's Manufacturing Company in Madison, Indiana and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church near Deputy, Indiana. Survivors include a son: Charles R. Lamb of Jeffersonville, Indiana; a daughter: Edith P. Achelpohl of Lexington, Indiana; three sisters: Ruth Lamb of Deputy, Indiana, Virginia Wren of Haines City, Florida & Velma Lunsford of North Vernon, Indiana. four grandchildren: Tonya Pyles, Lori Marlin, James & Charles Achelpohl and two great grandchildren: Cassandra & Claire Pyles. Interment at Bethany Baptist Cemetery near Deputy, Indiana. Memorial Contributions: to the family c/o Collins Funeral Home.
