Bernice McNeeley, 67, of Lexington, Indiana died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the University Of Louisville Hospital. She was born August 16, 1942 in Perry County, Kentucky, the daughter of Lottie (Abner) Strong, who survives. Bernice was married to John H. McNeeley, who died Nov. 26, 2001. She was a psychiatric assistant at the old Madison State Hospital in Madison, Indiana retiring after 30 years and was also a laborer for the old Corn Factory in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was a former Vice committee person for the Democratic Central Committee in Scott County, Indiana and a member of the Goodwill Conservation Club in Jefferson County, Indiana. Survivors in addition to her mother include two sons: Terry J. McNeeley of Elizabethtown, Kentucky & Charles E. McNeeley of Lexington, Indiana; two daughters: Drusilla K. Perry of Elizabethtown, Kentucky & Ruth A. Copeland of Lexington, Indiana; two brothers: Willie Strong & Don Strong both of Lexington, Indiana; three sisters: Teresa Diaz - Green, Ailean McNeeley & Ethel Golden all of Lexington, Indiana. Bernice is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Interment at Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Indiana. Arrangements by: Collins Funeral Home
