Amos Sampson, Jr., 63, of Lexington, Indiana, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at his residence. He was born on November 14, 1946 in Jeffersonville, Indiana, the son of the late Amos and Ruth (Hartling) Sampson. Amos was a retired welder & fitter for Jeff Boat in Jeffersonville, Indiana where he worked for 22 years retiring in 1984 and a member of the Lexington Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, Kevin A. Sampson of Lexington, Indiana; two daughters, Kyra Stephens of Charlestown, Indiana and Sarah Sampson of Lexington, Indiana and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Delores J. Meredith. Direct Cremation was chosen and there will be no services or visitation. Memorial Contributions: To the family c/o Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana.
