Roy William Schnoor Roy William Schnoor, 70, of Mt. Vernon, Ind., passed away Monday, April 19, 2010 at his residence. He was born in New York City December, 28, 1939. He was the owner and operator of Mt. Vernon Shops, was an avid gardener and loved Germania Maennerchor. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Wilhelm Schnoor and Annemarie (Wagner) Sipek; step-son, Michael Kelly; niece, Cheryl Lynn Deneke. He is survived by three sons, Billy Schnoor, Troy Schnoor of Malone, NY, Robert W. Schnoor of Northfield, MA; two daughters, Lurelle Crow of Henderson, KY, Allison Cardin (Brian) of New Harmony, IN; sister, Norma Deneke (Bill) of Elberfeld, IN; six grandchildren, Jimmy Kelly, IV, January Bellew, Heather and Jesse Crow, Damon and Annemarie Cardin; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and Roy's friend, Jean. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 23, 2010 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman Chapel 2nd & Elm Streets Elberfeld, Ind. Rev. Robert Simpkins will officiate with burial in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
