Michael Ray Burton, 64, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove. He was a current resident of Indianapolis and a long time resident of Franklin. He was born on April 13, 1946 in Indianapolis to Delmar Lee and Artie Faye (Mofield) Burton. Survivors include his sons Steven Burton (Debby) of Indianapolis, Tony Burton (Sharon) of Franklin; daughters Lisa Eldridge (Dave) of Franklin, Laura Nichols (Darryl) of Danville, Ill; brother Larry Burton of Franklin; grandchildren Mallory, Shane, Kenny, Morgan, Karlin, Danielle, Rachel, Amie, Alexis; great-grandchildren Elisia, Elena, Izaak, Kyra, and Santiago "Boo". He was preceded in passing by his parents and sister Carolyn Sue. He attended Franklin High School. Mr. Burton worked in the floor covering industry for over 43 years. He loved to watch football, especially the Indianapolis Colts. He enjoyed camping and boating. He loved the music of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 3:00pm at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call from 1:00pm until the service time. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
