Inez Laverne (Blackwell) Dickey, age 81, passed away at her residence in Franklin. Inez was born on May 13, 1929 in Monroe County, Indiana to Clell and Edith (Terrell) Blackwell. She married James Dickey on October 7, 1951 who preceded her in passing in 1999. She is survived by children Toni Pugh of Whiteland; Jim and wife Karon Dickey of Franklin and Bob and Sharon Dickey of Franklin; grandchildren Nick and Tanya Pugh, Mitch and Kirby Pugh, B.J. and Julie Pugh, Donny and Shannon Dickey, Jamie and James Priola, Justin and Jessica Dickey, Jenny and Aaron Roberts and Zach and Katie Dickey; great- grandchildren, Tristan, Cole, Gunner, Archer, Alli, Billy, Jabil, William, Becka, Caitlynn, Logen, Sam, Adrianna, Alyssia, Emmett, Emma and Brandyn; and brothers and sisters Ermol Blackwell, Katie Morris, Tom Blackwell, Bill Blackwell, Doris Shaffer, Joann Willbinks, Ronnie Blackwell and Philip Blackwell. She was preceded in passing by parents, husband James Dickey and brothers Kenneth "Nippy" Blackwell, George Blackwell and Don Blackwell. She attended school in Indiana. She owned Dickey Cleaning Service and worked at Camp Atterbury in Housekeeping. She was a Homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Zion Assembly Church in Franklin where she had served as a Sunday school Teacher. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family; brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A service will be conducted by the Revs. Steve and Linda Demaree on Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Assembly at 201 E. Madison Street in Franklin. Friends may call on Friday, June 4, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Assembly Church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion Assemby, 201 E. Madison Street, Franklin, Indiana 46131.
