Mary Alice Hudock, 81, passed away on June 13th at home with her family. She was born in Hayward, Wisconsin on February 6th, 1929, the daughter of the late Walter and Eva (Somerville) Duffy. Mary received her Bachelor's Degree from the College of St. Scholastica, studied at The University of Michigan, Cornell College, and received her Master's Degree in Music from Butler University. Mary married Edward Hudock on October 6th, 1951. Mary was an active member at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church where she played the organ and was the director of the religious education program for children. Mary was an accomplished pianist. For twenty years, she taught piano to students in the Franklin area. Most important to Mary were her six children, whom she raised with much love and compassion. Mary is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Edward Hudock; and children, Barbara Smith of Goshen, CT; Karen Haley of Hartwell, GA; Mary Gail Hudock of Columbus, IN; Paula Gallagher of Carlsbad, CA; Jan Gray of Minneapolis, MN; and John Hudock of Indianapolis. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three brothers and three sisters. The family would like to thank the many friends who have supported Mary throughout her illness as well as Dr. William Province. In particular, we would like to thank the caring and sympathetic nurses and support staff from VistaCare Hospice; Lisa, Rebecca, Sandi and Christy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 16th at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 114 Lancelot Drive in Franklin. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral. A reception will be held in Camelot Hall after the funeral. The internment will be in Hayward, Wisconsin.
