Cara "Joan" (Adams) Miller, 78, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 8, 1932 in Morgan County to Perry Marshall and Canzada (Baker) Adams. She married the love of her life, Harlan "Dale" Miller on December 25th, 1952 in a double wedding ceremony with Robert and Vivian Morris at Franklin Church of the Nazarene. She is survived by husband, Dale, of 57 years and six months. Also surviving are daughter Diana (Terry) Wethington of Nineveh; son Michael (Cheryl) Miller of New Whiteland; and daughter Cheryl (Scott) Cummings of Franklin. She is also survived by grandchildren Terry (Stacy) Wethington, William "Willie" (Beth Morris) Wethington, both of Trafalgar; Joannie (Henry) Murray of Indianapolis; Susan "SuAnn" Wethington of Nineveh and Joshua "Josh" Cummings of Franklin. Great grandchildren include Austin and Justin Wethington of Trafalgar. She is also survived by her brother Perry Marshall Adams, Jr. of Clearwater, Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Donn Adams, and sisters Opal (Adams) Johnson and Dorothy (Adams) Dickinson. Joan graduated from Franklin High School in 1950. She worked at Union Bank and Trust for many years. She was a member of the Franklin Chapter, Order of Eastern Star No. 439. She was an active member of Franklin Church of the Nazarene holding multiple positions within the church. Rev. Max Downs and Rev. Norman Palmer will conduct a service on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Franklin Church of the Nazarene at 140 W. Branigin Road, Franklin, Indiana 46131. Friends may call on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Burial will be at Oddfellows Cemetery in Morgan County, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Franklin Church of the Nazarene, 140 Branigin Road, Franklin, Indiana 46131.
