William W. "Bill" Richmond, 82, Franklin, passed away Friday, July 9, 2010. Born October 6, 1927 in Trimble County, Kentucky to the late William W. and Lucille (Carlisle) Richmond, he married Joanne "Jodi" (Horton) Richmond on January 9, 1949. Bill was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church in Franklin. He was a U.S. Army/Air Corp veteran serving in Europe during World War II. He was a brick mason and a co-owner of the Steer Restaurant in Franklin and in Whiteland. Survivors include his wife Jodi; sons Barry and wife Kathy Richmond; Rick and wife Kelly Richmond; Rob and wife Lori Richmond and Kelly and wife Ann Richmond; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and two sisters Delsie Herford and Susie Oles. He also was preceded in passing by daughter Patty Ann Richmond and brothers Robert and Jackie Richmond. Rev. Bill Horner will conduct a celebration of life service on Monday, July 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Receiving of friends will be on Sunday, July 11th from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana on Monday , July 12th with a service to be conducted at 2:00 p.m. in Madison with military honors to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tabernacle Christian Church, 198 N. Water Street, Franklin, Indiana 46131.
