Robert was an intern this summer at Beckman Coulter. I got the pleasure of meeting him at that time. I am an admin here and I enjoyed chatting with the interns as they would come in - not knowing what to expect. Robert was such a sweetie. He seemed very shy and we all enjoyed engaging him in conversation. He always seemed to enjoy chatting and had a boyish grin. Some of the other interns referred to him as "a genius". He will be missed by many. My prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Family,
We are all deeply saddened and shocked by this loss. We may never understand in this life the reasons things like this happen, but we can lean on our faith and trust that God can take tragedy and turn it into triumph, and one day it will all be made clear. We love you all.

Dear Family of Robert,
You don't know me, but Rob knew my son. Tim Lane was Rob's frat brother at Rose. He and Tim were the only two BioMed students that I'd heard of at Lamda Chi. They hung out together often.
My husband and I would like to offer our deepest sympathy at this time of heartwrenching loss. There are no adequate words, but please know that many prayers are going up for your family. What a bright future lost. Lean on Christ. He will not fail you.
With Deep Sorrow and Sympathy,Matt and Shelley Witham

I am so sorry for your loss. You do not know me, but my son Justin Druba is a biomed major at Rose-Hulman and knows Robert. He worked with him in Indianapolis last summer. May you cherish the memories of your precious son. Again, I am sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Janna Druba Hanover, Indiana

Words cannot express our heartfelt condolences. We still remember a precious preschool aged Robert enjoying his eggo waffle like a sandwich, with syrup running down his elbows. He was sugary sweet then and will be greatly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him. Our prayers are with you now and always.

I am sorry beyond words for the loss of your son. Although I did not have the honor of knowing him, I do know you and the kind, generous person you are, Cathy. I know you passed those qualities on to your children. David and I will be praying for you and your family and hope that maybe our prayers can comfort you in this time of grief and sorrow.
